Survey on Vaccine Hesitancy

The Public Health Agency of Canada's (PHAC's) Immunization Programs and Promotion Division is conducting a survey with Health Care Professionals to better understand and address the issue of vaccine hesitancy. Specifically, they are interested in learning more about health care providers' perceptions and those of their patients regarding vaccines. To participate in the survey, please click here: http://surveys-sondages.hc-sc.gc.ca/s/vaccine-vaccin/langeng/ (external link). The survey will be available until 25 May 2015.

Immunization Success

One hundred years ago, infectious diseases were the leading cause of death worldwide. In Canada, they now cause less than 5% of all deaths – thanks to immunization programs across the country.

Immunization protects individuals and communities by preventing the spread of disease. As more people are immunized the disease risk for everyone is reduced. Immunization has probably saved more lives in Canada in the last 50 years than any other health intervention. Immunization is the single most cost-effective health investment, making it a cornerstone in the effort to promote health.
